Costas Opa

I’ve been to Costas Opa a few times, once for brunch and a few times for dinner.  I’ve really enjoyed the food there.

Recently Duwardo and I went there with our friends.  We weren’t super hungry so we opted to share a meal of the Santorini salad.  It was delicious!!! In the past I’ve also had the avgolemono soup (which is soooooo good), souvlaki and the chicken lemonato. All have been fabulous.

It’s such a huge restaurant that there usually isn’t a wait, but as it’s in Fremont it can be a bit hard to find parking at times.  Overall, definitely a place to go with friends.  I’ve heard from others that this is a great place to get breakfast because it serves the normal breakfast type foods but most people don’t think of going to a greek place so it’s not super crowded!

Duwardo and I came here for lunch, but he only had 1 hour for lunch. We walked in and it was pretty empty so we figured it would be fine to eat there.

He ordered the special, which was a turkey wrap and I had Maria’s Masterpiece, which was a hot turkey sandwich. Really, not too difficult to make. Anyhow…we waited for about 45-50 minutes before our food came out. Not once did someone come to tell us that it would take that long. We sat by the kitchen and saw only one guy in there cooking while the 2 waitresses were just standing around doing nothing. Really…at least they should’ve told us that it would be a while. The worse part, when the guy was done making our food, he rang the bell and none of the waitresses even came over to deliver it to us. After watching our food sit there for a few minutes, the cook eventually came out and just served us himself. I ended up giving him my credit card in fear that the waitress would never come. Duwardo and I ended up scarfing our food down and rushing out of there so that he could make it back to work in time (he didn’t).

This place is an awful place to go for your lunch break…it’s ok for happy hour, but honestly, if you’re in any sort of time crunch, DO NOT GO HERE! Awful service! I used to like going here, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back anymore.
